Sutton
Fields was opened by Jim & Barbara Ford as a farm diversification
in May 1992.
It started out just as a golf driving range but now has a
lot more to offer. In 2006 we have refurbished the golf driving range bays including new mats and balls with bay heaters to be installed before the Winter.
Situated in the beautiful countryside
of the River Weaver Valley, as well as the Golf Driving Range,
Putting Green and Bunkers for the golfer to practice, there
are now other attractions for families
and other people who aren't interested in golf.
We have a county size bowling
green with large patio, and summer house. There is
crazy golf, toddlers' den and pet animals and we have a café
and licensed bar with a pool table and a large beer garden.
We hold a Childrens' Certificate
and therefore operate a no smokng policy inside the building.
We are not a club and are open to
the general public for individuals, families and
groups.
Sutton Fields was extended and refurbished with the Disabilities
Discrimination Act in mind. Everywhere is accessible with
wide doors & ramps and there are extremely good toilet
facilities which have won a Loo of the Year award and are
not only praised by disabled and elderly people but by parents
with young children.
We were also awarded Attraction
of the Year in 1999/2000 by Vale Royal Tourist Association.
There is enough room for groups to meet in our lounge
for refreshment after using the facilities
or if the weather is bad. Other options are open, such as
family gatherings, works outings, corporate events etc.
We also have an event site which
is available for any type of outdoor occasion and welcome
rallies, fairs and corporate days. Car Boots Sales and Caravan
Rallies are regularly held.
In keeping with our farming
background, for the horse & pony enthusiasts we also have
stables which are used for D.I.Y. (Do it Yourself) Livery.
